RSL WOMEN’S AUXILIARY HERVEY BAY
“Well what a strange year. COVID has changed many things for our Auxiliary and our community. We were unable to do any fundraising this year. We missed all our normal duties, ANZAC Day, Vietnam Veterans’ Day etc. We could not have our annual Tombola which we all enjoy. Collecting gifts all year to donate. Tickets did not have to be made and the excitement of the day wondering how much money we could make and if we could top last year.
We were fortunate enough to have a few meetings and sort out the A.G.M. nominations. Thank you to everyone who accepted nominations.
It was a tough year for the Sub-Branch as well. We are a strong Auxiliary and we will bounce back and hopefully it won’t take long to resume our duties.
We were fortunate enough to have a very enjoyable Christmas Party. It’s always good to catch up with Auxiliary ladies in a relaxed atmosphere. There are presents to open which is probably the best part, if only we could see through the wrapping. Thank you to Elaine for dressing our tables, organising the tills and the meals, it looked amazing as usual.
Thank you to Nell for making the wreaths this year.
Thank you to Joan for all your hard work, being Secretary is not easy.
Thank you to everyone for being so patient this year.
Thank you, Wendy for attending Council of Auxiliary Meeting.
Hopefully we can look forward to a better year in 2021.”
